Bridesmaid's and Page's clothes too

6 months before

Finalise the two guest listsArranging fittings for your dress, headdress and your bridesmaidsShop for going-away clothes, lingerie etcStart looking at stationery, cakes, flowers, and ringsThink about wedding list itemsGive thought to your 'thank you gifts' for parents, attendants and each other

4 months before

Order stationery, arrange calligraphy and cakeBuy ringsBuy gifts for parents and attendantsOrganise flowersOrganise hairdresserConfirm/finalise details of the ceremonyconfirm reception details withhotel/venue/caterersOrder Morning Suits if requiredBook hotel for honeymoon night and recommend accommodation for family and guests having to stay overnight after the receptions

3 months before

Post all invitations with wedding list and directions to venue(s) List acceptances and refusals as they arriveOrganise speeches if being written by a speechwriter

6 weeks before

Finalise numbers for the Hotel/Caterers; prepare 'seating plan'Check wedding clothesCheck headwear and book final appointment with your hairdresserPractise any new make-up - book final appointmentsPrepare newspaper announcements, if requiredOrder balloons and favoursFinalise your top table then where and how to seat the guestsArrange hen/stag parties, but not for the night before!
